Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience to join our Ft. Lauderdale office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented litigator to handle a diverse caseload and grow within a dynamic, trial-focused firm recognized for excellence nationwide.

What You'll Do

As part of our Florida Insurance Defense team, you will manage a broad range of matters, including:

  • General civil litigation and insurance defense
  • Construction defect litigation
  • Premises liability
  • Transportation and trucking defense
  • Professional liability
  • Catastrophic injury cases

Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
  • Taking and defending fact and expert depositions
  • Managing discovery and case strategy
  • Attending hearings, mediations, and pre-trial conferences
  • Communicating directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
  • Assisting with trial preparation and participating in trial as needed
