Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.
We currently have a multiple, re-extendable, long term contract roles as a Senior Data Consultant - Hydro with our consulting client, working on a project team involved with a large Canadian hydro company. This is a 12 month contract initially, but will be extended long term.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Data Consultant - Hydro to join our clients' team on a long term contract basis. As a Senior Data Consultant - Hydro, you will be responsible for providing expert data analysis and consulting services to a hydro client in Ottawa, ON. You will work closely with our client to understand their business needs and provide them with data-driven solutions that help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data requirements
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop data models and visualizations to present findings and recommendations to clients
- Working on bringing data into an existing data lake
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions and ensure their effectiveness
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analysis and technology
- Provide guidance and support to junior data consultants on the team
Qualifications:
- Experience working with data and clients in the hydro or energy industry is mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and consulting
- Prior working experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks and Oracle
- Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Experience wokring with data coming from Connexo is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
