Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile HR professional who can seamlessly balance high-level, complex employee relations matters with core, day-to-day generalist functions-including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this position serves as a strategic partner and trusted investigator handling complex, organization-wide ER matters and HR Generalist duties. In this critical liaison role, you will bridge the gap between department leadership and staff, championing a fair and compliant workplace. You will actively shape human resources policies and ensure strict adherence to federal and state employment laws, directly contributing to a healthy, high-performing organizational culture.
This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

Job Duties:
  • Investigations & Leadership Advisory: Leads comprehensive workplace investigations, including gathering information, conducting case interviews, determining findings, and drafting formal reports.
  • Manages the compliance process and partners closely with executive leadership, section managers, and unit managers to navigate sensitive disciplinary actions.
  • Strategic Project Management: Acts as the project lead in partnership with the Human Potential Office (HPO) team to design, establish, and implement optimized processes, standard work protocols, best practices, and performance metrics for the department.
  • Policy & Compliance Evolution: Drives the continuous refinement of department-wide policies, ensuring seamless alignment with evolving state statutes and modern HR standards.
  • Cross-Functional HR Expertise: Provides subject matter expertise across various human resources disciplines, offering support in functional areas such as recruitment, classification and compensation, training, performance management, HR operations, and benefits.
  • Leadership Backup: Serves in an acting capacity to ensure seamless department operations in the absence of the CHRO and HR Manager.

  • Federal and state employment laws, statutes, rules and regulations

Selective Preference(s):
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Personnel Management or related field.
