Position SummaryThe HRIS Manager oversees PBI Gordon's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensures HR data, workflows, and reporting operate efficiently and accurately. This role is both strategic and hands on, responsible for system configuration, data governance, reporting, vendor management, and supporting HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This role is expected to collaborate across HR, IT, external vendors, and business leaders to ensure our technology supports a high-impact employee experience while driving process improvement and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • HR Systems Administration & Optimization
    • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for all HR technology platforms (HRIS, ATS, Performance Management, Halo ticketing, etc.). Manage administration, implementation and maintenance of the various functionalities.
    • Lead the execution and management of recurring HR system cycles (e.g., performance reviews, merit planning).
    • Own and drive HR technology-related projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring clear stakeholder alignment and communication.
    • Lead HR technology projects (new modules, integrations, vendor transitions).
    • Configure system workflows, fields, security roles, and modules to support HR processes.
    • Manage system upgrades, testing and new feature rollouts.
    • Ensure data integrity, system optimization, and user experience across platforms and all platform modules.
    • Maintain data integrity through audits, validations, and governance standards.
    • Maintain role-based security and monitor access permissions.
    • Identify process inefficiencies and proactively implement improvements using system capabilities.
    • Evaluate HR processes and identify opportunities to streamline through automation.
    • Document workflows, SOPs, and system configurations.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Develop and deliver easily understandable dashboards for HR leadership and the organization to facilitate strategic decision-making by utilizing performance cycles, compensation data, headcount statistics, turnover, etc.
    • Provide ad-hoc reporting and insights to HR leadership and business partners.
  • Cross-functional Partnership
    • Act as primary liaison with HR tech vendors, overseeing system updates, renewals, and issue resolution.
    • Partner with IT on integrations, data flows, and system security.
    • Collaborate with Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and MarComm to ensure system alignment.
    • Effectively communicate priorities, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Safety Responsibilities:
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Participate in required safety training.
    • Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents promptly.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as HR, Business, IT, etc.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HRIS administration, ideally in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Advanced data skills: comfortable using Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics tools to create dashboards and reports.
  • Proven experience supporting and optimizing HR technology platforms including end-to-end operations, streamlining workflows, and enhancing user experience.
  • Strong project management skills; experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill technical details into clear, concise messaging for non-technical audiences.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • A critical thinker who seeks not just to identify problems but to solve them.
  • An independent operator who also values partnership and inclusion.
  • A strategic doer - equally comfortable in the weeds and at the whiteboard.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Power Automate is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience leading a successful migration to a new HRIS, including data mapping, system configuration, process redesign, process testing, and go-live support.
  • Experience leading change management efforts, including stakeholder communication, training development, and user adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills - able to influence and partner at all levels of the organization.
