This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas, with the CHRA NAF CYS Service Center (C2SC).

Duties
Help
  • Performs a wide variety of technical support in a generalist capacity needed to administer the NAF Personnel Program, but work is focused primarily in the areas of recruitment and placement, background check initiation and tracking.
  • Conducts pre-employment screenings, reference checks, initiates background checks and federal investigations.
  • Assists selectees during pre-employment process and regularly keeps the selectee and management appraised of status.
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical work such as using office automation to type a variety of documents; compiles information from reports, creates and maintains folders and respond to applicant or management inquiries.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This is a CHRA NAF Career Path I position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path I within eighteen (18) months of entrance into CHRA Career Path I.

Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession which demonstrates the capability to perform a variety of recruitment functions, such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility.
2. Possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc).
3. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
The experience and ability listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment/placement and background checks capacity.

  • This job is open to candidates who reside within local commuting area (50 miles) of Fort Riley, Kansas. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
