• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to determine care needs and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions that address the emotional difficulties seniors may experience, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
• Engage in collaborative care with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, working together to craft holistic care plans that ensure continuity and effectiveness in treatment.
• Offer education and support to staff and family members, equipping them with strategies to foster emotional well-being and enhance quality of life for seniors.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions, aiding residents and their families as they navigate end-of-life issues and related emotional complexities.

This role specifically focuses on the geriatric population, providing mental health support to elderly individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, grief, and cognitive decline. Understanding the intricacies of aging, you will employ tailored techniques that respect the unique emotional and psychological dynamics of each client, ensuring compassionate and effective care delivery.

• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support, with demonstrated clinical proficiency.

This competitive position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires will be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
