PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Operators are instrumental to the company's success. Safety, efficiency and pride are key attributes of an excellent operator. All operators are required to be safe and be responsible for their assigned equipment. We are 100% SC Certified Drug Free Workplace
RESPONSIBILITIES
To operate equipment safely, and efficiently while adhering to all company policies and MSHA/OSHA regulations, while meeting all production goals.
โ€ข Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
โ€ข Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
โ€ข Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
โ€ข Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
โ€ข Participate in routine maintenance to include but not limited to greasing and fueling equipment daily
โ€ข Practice workplace safety
โ€ข General daily preventative equipment maintenance
โ€ข Light labor work as needed
Heavy Equipment can be defined as:

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands :
The Heavy Equipment Operator has a physically strenuous and mentally demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects. The Heavy Equipment Operator will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Heavy Equipment Operator must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
Environmental Conditions :
The Heavy Equipment Operator must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.
Sensory Demands :

Mental Demands :
The Heavy Equipment Operator must work both independently and with the team and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks in a limited time.
