• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health status of clients entering the detox program, identifying key areas for intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique challenges and goals of each client, adjusting these plans as needed based on progress and feedback.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster recovery and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to offer integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s mental and emotional health are addressed comprehensively.
• Provide education and emotional support to clients' families, enhancing their understanding of the recovery process and encouraging active participation in treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all regulatory and ethical guidelines to safeguard client information.

The primary client population includes individuals experiencing substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions. As a counselor, you will be pivotal in guiding clients through the complexities of their recovery, building rapport, and providing unwavering support to help them navigate their challenges. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds, and as such, cultural competence and sensitivity will be essential in your daily interactions.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, including specialized training in evidence-based practices.
• Strong therapeutic, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to build meaningful connections with clients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a coordinated and holistic approach to client care.

To excel in this role, candidates should ideally have at least two years of direct experience in mental health counseling, particularly within a detox or substance use recovery setting. Familiarity with health care regulations and ethical standards in mental health is highly desirable.
