Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Grant Administrator and Project Manager to join our highly collaborative team in Mid-Atlantic Water Group. This position offers potential for development in a great working environment and the opportunity to help our clients secure grant money to solve their most challenging problems. Typical projects involve helping local, state, and federal clients complete floodplain management, stormwater modeling and management, dam and levee rehabilitation, and other watershed planning projects.

Work Location:

Remote working is an option; however, candidates who live within a commuting distance to our offices in either DC or Philadelphia are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing grant and contract proposal preparation, fiscal process review and budget development, effort management, closeout and reporting oversight, and maintenance of grant management tracking systems for multiple local clients and municipalities.
  • Manage projects to ensure that they are completed in accordance with project time, budget and technical requirements.
  • Development of client and business opportunity tracking; writing and coordinating responses to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs; development of ancillary marketing materials; and identification of potential clients.
Skills / Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • 15+ years experience of professional grant consulting services, including research, tracking, and identification of federal, state, local, and private grant programs; grant writing; project budget preparation; grant administration; and grant workshop facilitation
  • 5+ years of experience working as a project/ proposal manager
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to implement industry best practices and Proposals/Marketing techniques
  • Strategic creative thinker with the ability to "think outside the box"
  • Proven team player, capable of leading and motivating the proposals team
  • Must work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
