Remote Gme Program Administrator information

What is a Remote GME Program Administrator?

A Remote GME (Graduate Medical Education) Program Administrator is a professional who manages the administrative aspects of residency or fellowship programs, typically for hospitals or academic medical centers, while working remotely. Their responsibilities include coordinating accreditation processes, maintaining records, assisting with recruitment, and supporting residents and faculty. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and serve as a key liaison between medical staff, trainees, and accrediting organizations. Working remotely, they use digital tools to communicate, organize data, and facilitate program operations effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote GME Program Administrator?

To thrive as a Remote GME Program Administrator, you need a strong understanding of graduate medical education requirements, program accreditation standards, and administrative best practices, typically supported by a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Familiarity with accreditation management systems (such as ACGME ADS), scheduling software, and database tools like MedHub or New Innovations is often required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, faculty, and regulatory bodies are essential soft skills. These competencies ensure smooth program operations, compliance with accreditation standards, and effective support for both trainees and faculty in a remote environment.

What are some typical challenges faced by a Remote GME Program Administrator, and how can they be managed?

Remote GME Program Administrators often face challenges related to coordinating communication among faculty, residents, and accreditation bodies across different locations. Managing documentation, compliance deadlines, and virtual onboarding for new residents can also be complex. Staying organized with digital tools, maintaining regular virtual check-ins, and fostering open communication help overcome these hurdles. Building strong relationships with IT support and leveraging secure data management platforms are essential for effective remote collaboration.

Job description

Coral Connect, LLC (โ€œCoralโ€) is a technology-enabled service provider focused on reducing healthcare costs through intelligent data management, pharmacy optimization, and value-driven sourcing. Our mission is to make specialty care more accessible, efficient, and equitable by improving operations at community care organizations, infusion centers, and specialty providers.

Job Overview:

Coral is building the operating system for healthcare group purchasing and procurement. Our platform delivers contract intelligence, purchasing discipline, and financial recoupment as a fully managed service to health systems and specialty providers.

As we scale, we are seeking a Director, Procurement to lead the development and execution of our procurement-as-a-service pillarโ€”from strategy through client delivery.

This role spans three interconnected functions: upstream GPO and distribution sourcing strategy, industry relations across Coralโ€™s contract and data portfolio, and end-to-end customer management from acquisition through account growth. Over time, this leader will build and scale a standalone sourcing and procurement-as-a-service offering for organizations looking to fully outsource industry relations and centralized procurement to Coral.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned GPO or healthcare supply chain individual who thrives in a high-growth environment and is energized by building a differentiated offering from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and scale Coralโ€™s procurement-as-a-service offering, including both consulting and managed service models
  • Develop sourcing strategies across GPO and distribution channels to optimize client outcomes
  • Establish and grow relationships with both member and non-member organizations, identifying new partnership and revenue opportunities
  • Lead industry relations across Coralโ€™s full contract and data portfolio, including manufacturers, distributors, and GPO partners
  • Oversee GPO contract portfolio management, including optimization and performance tracking
  • Structure and manage enhanced data service agreements and data monetization programs
  • Administer post-administrative discount programs and ensure accurate financial recoupment for clients
  • Design and operationalize processes, systems, and teams to support implementation and ongoing account management
  • Own end-to-end client lifecycle, from acquisition through retention and expansion, in partnership with the VP, Client Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in healthcare supply chain, procurement, or group purchasing (GPO), with a strong track record of leading sourcing strategy, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships at scale
  • Proven leadership experience within a GPO, health system, distributor, or healthcare services organization, including building and scaling teams, programs, or business units
  • Deep expertise in GPO contracting structures, administrative fees, rebate/discount programs, and procurement operations, including vendor management and contract lifecycle management
  • Experience working closely with manufacturers, distributors, and health system stakeholders, with established credibility and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships end-to-end, including executive-level stakeholders, with a focus on retention, growth, and value delivery
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience driving cost savings, margin optimization, and data-informed decision-making; familiarity with data monetization or analytics-driven procurement is a plus
  • Experience designing or delivering managed services or outsourced solutions is preferred
  • Player-coach mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-growth, ambiguous environment
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across product, data, and commercial teams
  • Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and comfortable building from zero to one with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Industry experience with drug spend management, sourcing, cost management, and other procurement tools is preferrable

Education:

Bachelorโ€™s degree or relevant experience is required.

Job Benefits:

Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, Paid Time Off.

Location:

Remote with limited travel to client locations, internal business meetings, and other locations as needed.
