Their responsibilities typically include answering customer inquiries by phone, email, or chat, looking up parts using GM catalogs and databases, providing pricing and availability information, processing orders, and coordinating with shipping departments. This role requires strong knowledge of GM vehicle models and parts, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with online parts lookup systems. Remote GM Parts Counter Persons help streamline the parts ordering process and improve customer service for both retail and wholesale GM parts customers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote GM Parts Counter Person?

To thrive as a Remote GM Parts Counter Person, you need strong automotive parts knowledge, attention to detail, and experience with inventory management, often supported by prior dealership or parts counter experience. Familiarity with GM-specific cataloging systems, order management software, and dealership management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and customer service orientation help build trust with clients and resolve inquiries efficiently. These skills ensure accurate parts identification, efficient order processing, and high customer satisfaction in a remote setting.
