This role is a remote position, allowing for flexibility in your work hours. You will utilize telehealth platforms to engage with clients, conduct assessments, and provide therapy sessions, making it convenient to manage your caseload while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the specific mental health needs of clients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, fellow counselors, clients’ families, and other stakeholders regarding the patient's treatment progress and needs.
  • Prepare and communicate a tentative schedule of client appointments and home visits, ensuring consistent monitoring and follow-up on treatment plans.
  • Coordinate necessary home visits for in-home observations and client evaluations, ensuring comprehensive support and documentation of each client’s progress.
  • Regularly participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on case management and sharing best practices for treatment.
  • Document monthly and quarterly client progress notes, ensuring that all information is up to date and accessible for reviews.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their competencies in implementing treatment plans and maintaining documentation quality.
  • Provide ongoing support through follow-up interviews and additional observations to assist in client care and needs assessment.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the mental health community, developing strategic goals for improvement and outreach.
  • Assist in creating training materials and developing procedures aimed at improving program effectiveness for our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve encompass a diverse range of individuals, including both adults and youth, each facing various mental health challenges. Your role as a counselor will be crucial in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a supportive environment where clients can thrive and recovery is prioritized.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas is required.
