This Product Manager will support the development and management of smart services product offerings for the North America Commercial HVAC business at Trane. This role is a key contributor to the product management team and is responsible for supporting the product strategy, contributing to cross-functional team projects, and assisting with strategic pricing, multigenerational product plans, new product development programs/processes, commercialization, customer research, and go-to-market strategy.

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven product management professional who can contribute to a strategic vision and execute plans to deliver business results. This individual should possess excellent communication skills and be looking for an opportunity to grow and develop with a leading diversified industrial company.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Trane Service Products Growth Team (PGT), a cross-functional team that includes Product Management, Engineering, and Operations and other stakeholders, all focused on driving profitable growth.
  • Support the development of the services strategy, long-range plan, and annual operating plan for the service business.
  • Actively manage the day-to-day needs of the service offering, with a particular focus on implementation of new pricing strategies.
  • Conduct regular industry, market, and competitor analyses, including detailed segmentations of end consumers and customers.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a multigenerational product plan (MGPP) for service products, ensuring that the positioning, pricing, cost, margins, and customer value proposition support the overall building services strategy.
  • Collaborate with other service and equipment product managers to ensure the strategy supports broader system initiatives and a smooth integration with Trane's overall strategy.
  • Strong collaboration with the product support and applications team ensuring that our efforts for product support are well documented for field action.
  • Support the creation and execution of marketing and commercialization plans for new services offerings.
  • Review and recommend adjustments to offer structure, pricing, policies, or service features to better meet customer needs and expectations, based on regular product line reviews. Ensure pricing changes to all existing offerings to cover for inflation, market trends, competitor actions, changes to offer structure or features, and/or lifecycle stages.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree required. A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC applications and systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience with strategic pricing is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
