Summary:
The Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis will be responsible for overseeing, completing, and reviewing internal and external financial statement creation/reporting and leading/managing the audit process for one of the nation's leading pediatrics health care systems, including joint ventures and affiliates. The successful candidate is a detail oriented, meticulous and experienced accounting leader, who functions well in a highly independent role involving managing monthly close, internal and external reporting, research and implementation of new accounting standards and acts as a technical accounting resource for the organization.

Responsibilities:

    • Manages monthly close, internal and external reporting, research and implementation of new accounting standards, acts as a technical accounting resource for the accounting department, and coordinates as the main contact, external benefits audit and external annual audit.
    • Responsible for internal and external reporting requirements of the organization and monthly, quarterly, annual close.
    • Maintains knowledge of general ledger and operations of the organization needed to provide useful information to leadership related to financial performance.
    • Maintains knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including technical research and preparing memos supporting accounting positions.
    • Will lead a small team of GL accountants and act as a leader across the accounting department.

    How You'll Be Successful:

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • At least 7 years in accounting and financial reporting; either public accounting or a mix of public accounting and industry experience required
    • At least 2 years in healthcare setting preferred
    EDUCATION
    • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Accounting or related field required
    • Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Accounting or related field preferred

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
