Title: Senior Multimedia Producer
JOB LOCATION: Remote
For remote, hybrid, and onsite positions, the employee bears travel costs to the nearest NASA Center for badging and the issuance of NASA IT equipment.
For a Remote or Hybrid position, the employee must have a reliable internet connection and be able to VPN into the NASA network to conduct work.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Rothe is seeking a Senior Multimedia Producer to join a multimedia production team supporting the NASA Science Mission Directorate. This position will support video production and live streaming for the Directorate’s flagship multimedia products, including recurring video series, live broadcasts, on-demand documentaries, and field campaign documentation. The successful candidate is an experienced video producer and livestream producer who can lead projects from concept through delivery, conduct interviews with subject matter experts, and produce finished content in both English and Spanish for general (non-scientific) audiences.
From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. Live broadcast and live-stream production
  • Provide production and engineering support for live broadcasts, including travel for broadcasts originating from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and other agency or partner locations.
  • Produce a recurring live-stream series optimized for digital platforms, taking audiences inside Science Mission Directorate labs and facilities.
  • Support live on-site coverage of up to two celestial events per year.
Video series and long-form production
  • Produce monthly and other recurring multiplatform video series, long-form on-demand pieces or documentaries.
  • Lead assigned video projects from scoping through final delivery, making editorial decisions on storylines, structure, pacing, and visual approach.
  • Support multimedia documentation of celestial events and other agency activities.
  • Write, narrate, edit, and produce finished video content in both English and Spanish.
EDUCATION:
  • BA and 4 years of relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of professional multimedia or video production experience.
  • Demonstrated experience producing live broadcasts or live-streamed productions.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce finished video content in Spanish — including writing, narrating, and editing — not solely translating English-language products.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and related applications).
  • Strong storytelling and editorial judgment, with the ability to translate complex or technical subject matter for general audiences.
  • Experience leading video projects from concept through final delivery.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for live broadcasts and productions, including international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in journalism, communications, film, or a related field.
  • Experience producing documentary or long-form on-demand content for NASA.
  • Experience producing video content about science, technology, or mission-driven subjects for public audiences in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience with multi-camera live production switching and live broadcast engineering.
