Remote European information

What are some common challenges faced when working as a remote employee for a European-based company, and how can they be overcome?

One of the most common challenges in remote roles for European-based companies is managing time zone differences, especially if team members are spread across multiple countries. This can affect meeting scheduling and real-time collaboration. To overcome these challenges, it's important to use shared calendars, communicate availability clearly, and leverage asynchronous communication tools. Additionally, remote employees should establish a dedicated workspace and set boundaries to maintain work-life balance. Regular check-ins with the team help foster connection and ensure alignment on projects.

Independent Manufacturers' Representative (1099 Contractor) Industrial & B2B Products (Remote)

German American Chambers of Commerce

Chicago, IL โ€ข Remote

Contractor

This job post hasย expired today.ย Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

Location: Chicago, IL (Remote / Field Sales Multiple US Territories)

GACC Midwest works with German and European manufacturers - many highly specialized, technology-driven companies in industrial, technical, and B2B sectors - as they build and expand their U.S. sales presence. We are actively recruiting an experienced independent manufacturers' representative (1099 contractor) to represent one or more client manufacturers on a commission basis within your territory.

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not employment. We are specifically looking for independent reps, not distributors you would represent and sell a manufacturer's products on a commission basis without taking title to inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Represent one or more manufacturer clients' product lines within your established territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and other B2B customers
  • Add a complementary, non-competing line to your current line card
  • Provide market feedback and sales reporting to the manufacturer you represent

Requirements

  • Established experience as an independent manufacturers' representative or 1099 sales contractor
  • An existing, active line card with capacity for an additional line
  • A defined territory with existing customer relationships
  • Experience selling industrial, technical, or other B2B products

Industries We Frequently Support

What Happens Next?
Qualified applicants will be contacted by GACC Midwest's Recruiting & Consulting Services team as opportunities aligned with your territory and line card become available.
