Primary Responsibilities
  • Execute the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account analyses, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee daily and monthly cash accounting activities, including reconciliation of bank accounts, and ensuring accurate cash reporting
  • Provide financial reporting oversight related to AP activities, ensuring accurate expense recognition, proper cutoff, and completeness of liabilities
  • Deliver comprehensive balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis, providing actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Manage special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analysis to meet business and leadership needs (e.g. new reporting requirements, acquisition of a new entity, business reorganization, allocation updates)
  • Serve as a key business partner to field operations and Finance Business Partners, offering guidance on accounting matters and driving informed decision-making
  • Maintain and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures, and standard work documentation to improve consistency and compliance
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, driving efficiencies through automation, standardization, and best practices implementation
  • Interface with WHQ, Outsource Providers and Regional Offices
  • Support controls and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance, as well as PwC testing

Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree: Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment, be able to multi-task, and possess a solid work ethic
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and initiative
  • Must be able to work additional hours as required due to time-sensitive deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • JD Edwards experience a plus

Other Information
This position will support the Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of financial results. The position is responsible for month end close processes, evaluating efficiencies and leveraging technology to streamline month end close and reporting while working closely with Operations, Service Center and Factory, Contract Accounting, Treasury and FP&A teams.
