Job description

Planning Analytics Lead- Job Posting

WHO WE ARE:

At Harvey Performance Company, we're more than a team; we're a community. Our thriving, dynamic, and rapidly expanding organization values community, celebrates success, and fosters personal and professional growth opportunities.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Planning Analytics Lead owns the data, dashboards, and KPI reporting that support Demand Planning, Production Planning, and inventory optimization at Harvey Performance Company. This is a newly created role for an analyst who writes their own SQL, builds their own Power BI dashboards, and knows how to translate a planner's question into a query and a useful report. You'll partner directly with our database team and serve as the data lead on a new planning and inventory optimization system going in later this year. Rowley, MA preferred with one day per week onsite. Remote across New England considered for the right candidate.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Build and maintain the KPI reporting and dashboards for Demand Planning and Production Planning, covering service performance, inventory health, forecast accuracy, and planning execution.
  • Write SQL against multiple ERP sources (Epicor P21, SAP, Kinetic) to produce repeatable, validated datasets that planners and buyers can trust.
  • Develop planning data models in Power BI that surface what matters and leave out what doesn't.
  • Establish data validation routines and refresh cadences that create a single source of truth for planning data.
  • Support tuning of planning parameters (lead times, MOQs, safety stock) with Production Planning and Demand Planning, including change-impact analysis.
  • Serve as the data lead for the upcoming inventory optimization and demand planning system rollout, including requirements translation, field mapping, testing, and post-deployment KPI validation.
  • Partner with IT and Mike Murray's database team on data architecture and access.
  • Build repeatable analytical workflows that reduce manual effort and scale with the business.

YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years in planning analytics, supply chain analytics, or BI within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Advanced SQL, including complex joins, validation logic, and performance-aware queries. You write queries from scratch, not just modify existing ones.
  • Power BI experience building dashboards that are actually used by operating teams.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain processes: PO flow, sales order flow, and planning master data (items, lead times, MOQs, safety stock).
  • ERP experience. Epicor or SAP preferred, but any major ERP works.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and partner cross-functionally with IT and operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a dashboard to a non-technical stakeholder and a data model to an IT partner.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience supporting a planning systems implementation (requirements, field mapping, UAT, post-deployment validation).
  • Exposure to a modern demand planning or inventory optimization tool (Kinaxis, o9, Logility, Blue Yonder, OMP, RELEX, SAP IBP, or similar).
  • Background at a larger organization where you've seen scaled supply chain processes work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, MIS, or related field.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK:

Find yourself in the heart of Rowley, MA, where our modern facility resides. Experience the balance between vibrant professional growth at Harvey and the soothing, scenic lifestyle of this quaint North Shore town. We champion work-life harmony and invite you to be part of our journey.

WHAT HARVEY PROVIDES:

  • A fun, rapid-growing environment where new opportunities are regularly made available.
  • Opportunities for training and development, including tuition reimbursement.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, paid holidays, health, dental, vision insurance, and a 401k match program, along with profit sharing.

The pay range for this position is $75K to $85K annually. This range reflects what the company reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Where an individual’s pay falls within the range will depend on their skills, background, and performance.
