Sr Techno-functional SAP S/4HANA Data Migration, Governance & Integration Lead

Role: SAP S/4HANA Data Migration & Governance Consultant (Multi-ERP Migration)
Position Summary
The Data Readiness and Governance Lead is responsible for leading all data activities for an SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Brownfield transformation. This role oversees data strategy, readiness, quality, governance, validation, and migration execution across master data and transactional data.
The position serves as the primary liaison among business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and program leadership to ensure enterprise data is cleansed, validated, reconciled, and ready for mock conversions, cutover, and production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leadthe end-to-end SAP data workstream and define the data strategy, roadmap,milestones, and delivery plan.
  • DirectBrownfield ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration and data readiness activities.
  • Establishvalidation frameworks for master data, transactional data, open items,balances, and historical data.
  • Overseesource extraction, data profiling, cleansing, transformation,reconciliation, and post-conversion validation.
  • Validatemaster data such as Business Partners, materials, G/L accounts, costcenters, profit centers, assets, vendors, and customers.
  • Validatetransactional data such as open purchase orders, sales orders, inventory,financial balances, open items, and asset values.
  • Coordinatemock conversions, dress rehearsals, cutover planning, productionmigration, and post-go-live reconciliation.
  • Definedata quality standards, controls, ownership, stewardship, andissue-remediation processes.
  • Managedata risks, dependencies, defects, decisions, and readiness milestones.
  • Facilitateworkshops with business process owners, functional leads, architects,developers, and data owners.
  • Provideexecutive-level status reporting on data quality, validation results,conversion readiness, and key risks.
  • Developprocedures, documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transferplans for data governance and validation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor'sdegree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, ora related field.
  • 8-10+years of enterprise data management, migration, validation, or governanceexperience.
  • 5-8+years of SAP implementation or transformation experience.
  • Experienceleading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Brownfield migration programs, minimum of 2-3 projects.
  • Strongexperience validating SAP master data and transactional data.
  • Knowledgeof data migration, reconciliation, data quality, governance, and cutovermethodologies.
  • Experienceleading cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strongcommunication, facilitation, risk management, and stakeholder-managementskills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAPS/4HANA Brownfield conversion experience.
  • Experiencewith SAP Migration Cockpit(LTMC & ATC), SAP Data Services, Information Steward, DataTransition Validation, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledgeof master data management, data archiving, retention, and enterprise datagovernance.
  • Experiencein aerospace, defense, government, manufacturing, or other regulatedindustries.

Success Measures
  • Datareadiness and validation milestones are completed according to the programschedule.
  • Successfulexecution of mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and production cutover.
  • Accuratereconciliation of master data and transactional data between SAP ECC andSAP S/4HANA.
  • Reduceddata defects, duplicates, conversion errors, and post-go-livereconciliation issues.
  • Cleardata ownership, governance controls, and positive stakeholder feedback.

Lead and execute end-to-end data migration from SAP ECC, EPICOR, NetSuite systems into SAP S/4HANA, ensuring high data quality, business continuity, and successful go live. Data extract already exists in a data lake and needs to be loaded into S/4.
Data Objects: Customer, Vendor and Material Master. Customer Master is the immediate focus. Golden record before migration so tie into existing orders, invoices etc. and salesforce integrations remain intact.
Core responsibility:
Hands on experience with Extract → Transform → Cleanse → Load → Validate → Reconcile data across systems

  • Strong experience in:
    • SAP ECC → S/4HANA data migration
    • Non-SAP ERP integration (EPICOR,NetSuite preferred)
  • Expertise in:
    • Data Migration lifecycle (ETL,mapping, validation)
    • SAP S/4HANA data objects (BP,Finance, Materials, etc.)
  • Hands-on with:
    • SAP Data Services (BODS)
    • Migration Cockpit (LTMC & ATC)
    • SQL / ABAP (for extraction &transformation)

Data & Integration Skills
  • Data profiling, cleansing, andgovernance
  • Large-scale data handling (master+ transactional data)
  • Experience integrating:
    • APIs
    • Flat files
    • Third-party systems

Preferred Experience
  • Multi-ERP consolidation projects(ECC + EPICOR + NetSuite → S/4)
  • SAP S/4HANA implementation(Greenfield)
    • Experience in Data Governance /MDG
    • Vendor/Customer → BusinessPartner conversion
