Job description

Build the data foundation that helps Epicor go further. As Vice President, Data and Business Systems, you will lead the enterprise data, business systems, and analytics capabilities that support revenue integrity, operational performance, and executive-level reporting. You will be responsible for building scalable governance, quote-to-cash data integrity, business intelligence, and Salesforce CPQ platform processes across a complex, fast-moving enterprise software environment. We are seeking applicants with deep quote-to-cash expertise, strong executive influence, and a builder mindset to help create long-lasting success for Epicor, our teams, and our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Define and enforce enterprise data standards across product, customer, revenue, and financial domains, including master data management, stewardship models, governance councils, and cross-functional data ownership decisions.

  • Establish and drive product data management governance workflows for product creation, change, and end of life, ensuring cross-functional sign-off before changes enter systems.

  • Own end-to-end data integrity across the quote-to-cash cycle, from CPQ configuration through order management, billing, and revenue recognition, including compliance across Kinetic, Salesforce, and RightRev.

  • Build system-level data quality measures and key performance indicators that surface issues early, including billing accuracy, contract-to-invoice match, and revenue recognition integrity metrics for executive and board reporting.

  • Lead the business intelligence platform and analytics capability that supports executive, board, and operational reporting, translating complex data into clear, proactive insights.

  • Own Salesforce platform strategy, configuration governance, CPQ architecture, and integration governance between Salesforce CPQ and Epicor Kinetic, including match rate standards, exception handling, escalation paths, and change management processes.

  • Develop data quality engineering, forward deployed engineering, business intelligence, and data stewardship capabilities across Finance, Sales, Product, and Customer Success.

What you will likely bring:

  • 13+ years' progressive experience in data, systems, operations, or related leadership roles, with demonstrated success in complex enterprise environments.

  • 8+ years' experience managing and developing multi-discipline technical teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types.

  • Deep quote-to-cash domain expertise across CPQ, ERP, billing, and revenue recognition workflows, with an understanding of where data breaks and how to resolve issues structurally.

  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, a major ERP such as Epicor Kinetic, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and a revenue recognition platform strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead through influence across executive stakeholders, drive cross-functional data ownership decisions, and communicate clearly with the CEO, board, and senior leadership.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, process improvement, collaboration, and customer service orientation skills, with the ability to manage scorecards, action plans, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.

What could set you apart:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience building data governance programs from a greenfield environment, including measurable outcomes within the first 12 months.

  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in data quality, billing accuracy, contract-to-invoice match, revenue integrity, and operational reporting.

  • Strong sales acumen, with the ability to collaborate with and support Sales Vice Presidents and senior commercial leaders.
