Instead of being physically present, support specialists help users via phone, chat, or video calls to resolve issues, answer questions, and guide them through workflows. This support is especially valuable during new system go-lives or upgrades, ensuring providers can efficiently use Epic while minimizing disruptions to patient care.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Epic ATE Support professionals, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote Epic ATE Support professionals often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting technical issues without direct, on-site access to end-users and managing communication across multiple teams and shifts. To address these challenges, it's important to utilize robust remote access tools, maintain clear and timely communication with clinical staff, and document all support interactions thoroughly. Building strong relationships with on-site super-users and participating in regular team meetings can also help streamline issue resolution and ensure consistent support coverage.
