Job description

Job Title: Central Energy Plant Manager Location: Louisville, Kentucky Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Overview The Asset Manager IV will be responsible to work with a set of company customers to review energy usage and strategies in order to implement the best practices. This will include directly managing the O&M of the CEP for the campus, working with, and mentoring the owner's staff on the O&M and energy usage of multiple facilities as part of a greater campus effort.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Central Energy Plant (CEP) operations and maintenance, including overseeing subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
  • Review daily energy usage and implement best practices for facility energy efficiency.
  • Mentor the owner's staff on O&M procedures and energy strategies.
  • Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
  • Ensure plant operates efficiently through ongoing supervision and training of Plant Operators.
  • Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities with the EPC team in support of OMC operations.
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting and diagnostics in collaboration with remote support teams.
  • Lead a team or multiple teams, including Asset Managers or Asset Manager I/II, ensuring effective management of energy facilities.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience managing multiple sites, or equivalent management experience in a central plant, facility, mechanical construction, or MEP design consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry awareness and competitive knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt duties outside of scope when needed.
  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET accredited); PE preferred or FE working towards obtaining PE.
  • Willingness to travel 10-25% of the time to site locations.
  • Physical activities include climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and performing work in various environments including confined spaces.
  • Physical demands involve medium work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds.
