• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to understand patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating both therapy and counseling approaches.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy, to support patients in overcoming emotional and psychological barriers.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic clinical records, documenting patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other social workers, to provide holistic care and ensure continuity of treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and families, equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to navigate recovery.
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mental health and substance abuse treatment, contributing to ongoing clinical excellence.

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges, offering your expertise to a diverse client population. Your skills in empathetic communication and solution-focused therapy will be vital in establishing trust and rapport with patients, allowing them to express their concerns and work toward their personal recovery goals.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in Virginia, with knowledge of local regulations concerning mental health care.
• A strong foundation in solution-based psychotherapy interventions and a passion for improving the lives of others.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and colleagues.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with populations dealing with addiction and mental health issues.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and communication.
• A background in crisis intervention or intensive outpatient treatment programs is a plus.
