• Conduct initial assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to clients’ emotional and psychological needs, ensuring effective engagement from the outset.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Adapt therapeutic techniques to accommodate various cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances, enabling clients from different walks of life to achieve their mental health goals.

• Engage in regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach and optimal outcomes for clients.

• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient case management.

• Stay current with advancements in mental health practices by participating in relevant workshops and professional development, fostering continual growth within the field.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including those facing trauma, substance abuse issues, family dynamics, and relationship challenges. Our outpatient model allows for flexible scheduling, prioritizing client accessibility and convenience, making your role critical in ensuring they receive the support they need when they need it.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• At least 2 years of verifiable experience providing counseling or therapeutic services, preferably in a clinical or outpatient environment.

• Strong commitment to ethical guidelines and legal standards governing counseling practices.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with a wide range of clients.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team, showcasing strong teamwork skills.

• Specialized experience in trauma-informed care, substance abuse, couples therapy, or family counseling would be beneficial.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software to streamline documentation and client management processes.
