Position Overview

Bliss Wellness Center is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is designed for professionals who want to deliver transformative mental health support while working in a primarily remote setting, with the flexibility to contribute to a renowned community health clinic based in Baltimore, Maryland. As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by mood disorders.

About the Organization

Bliss Wellness Center is celebrated for its unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive mental health services tailored for diverse populations. Our center is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and recovery. We serve a wide array of clients, including those battling anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and those affected by life-altering circumstances such as homelessness or domestic abuse. At Bliss Wellness Center, we believe in the power of therapeutic interventions and collaborative care to bring about positive change in the lives of our clients.

Work Environment

This position primarily offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while still maintaining a close-knit connection with your team. You will have the tools and technology necessary to perform effective therapeutic sessions, utilizing telehealth platforms to reach clients where they are most comfortable. Our team fosters collaboration, encouraging regular communication through teleconferencing tools and virtual meetings, ensuring you remain connected to fellow professionals dedicated to mental health advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, evaluating symptoms' intensity, frequency, and duration.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide ongoing support and education to clients and their families regarding mood disorder management, treatment strategies, and self-care practices.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to support optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for your clients.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment, endeavoring to incorporate best practices into your therapeutic approach.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, ensuring documentation supports quality care delivery.
  • Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for mental health awareness, working to combat stigma surrounding mental health issues within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals coping with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clients may include vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. This role will require you to demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and respect.

Qualifications
  • A valid, active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate secure relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with and provide nonjudgmental support to clients navigating mental health challenges.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on time management to effectively balance clinical responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities in a clinical setting.
  • Prior work with diverse populations, especially those experiencing socio-economic challenges.
  • Familiarity with documentation requirements and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • A competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, comprehensive health insurance, and a retirement plan.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including access to training in addiction counseling.
  • A supportive and collaborative work culture that values feedback and employee growth.
  • The chance to significantly impact client lives, aiding in their path to recovery and enhancing overall community health.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Bliss Wellness Center, we believe in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement. As part of our team, you will have access to various training programs and workshops focused on developing your clinical skills in addiction counseling and specialized therapeutic methods. Opportunities may also arise for leadership roles or involvement in community outreach programs, further enhancing your career trajectory.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Bliss Wellness Center, you will become part of a compassionate community dedicated to making a difference. Your work as an LMFT will not only provide therapeutic support but will also contribute to a greater mission of healing and recovery within the community. We are committed to a culture of inclusion and mutual respect, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered.
