Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at Bliss Wellness Center. Work Environment

As a member of Bliss Wellness Center, you will work with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, establishing a solid understanding of their mental health status.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, personal histories, and therapeutic preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting techniques based on progress and client feedback.
  • Provide education and support regarding mood disorders, including treatment options and self-care practices, for clients and their families.
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Engage in integrated care by coordinating efforts with psychiatrists and other health care providers to address the comprehensive needs of clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders, integrating new knowledge into practice.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and challenges, contributing to efforts to reduce stigma in the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Bliss Wellness Center, you will work primarily with individuals and families facing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your compassionate approach will be vital in providing support to vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, making a significant impact in their recovery and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to establish trustworthy therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • An empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges is imperative for effective therapy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are needed to manage caseloads efficiently and ensure effective handling of administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse client populations and sensitivity to cultural issues in mental health treatment.
  • Background in evidence-based practices and familiarity with techniques such as Trauma-Informed Care or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Prior experience in community health settings is advantageous, especially in supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
