This individual will own the technical "source of truth" for complex digital ecosystems and play a critical role in ensuring system integrity across interconnected platforms, integrations, and business processes.

The Solutions Architect will partner closely with sales, business analysts, delivery teams, and stakeholders to translate high-level business objectives into scalable, technically sound solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical architecture expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to guide enterprise clients through complex digital transformation initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Solution Architecture
  • Define and maintain the technical architecture and system blueprint for enterprise eCommerce implementations.

  • Design scalable integrations, data flows, middleware solutions, and technical ecosystems that support long-term business growth.

  • Establish technical standards, integration patterns, and documentation to ensure system consistency and integrity.

Sales & Discovery Partnership
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and solution engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility during the sales process.

  • Validate proposed solutions involving ERP integrations, custom platform functionality, middleware orchestration, and third-party systems.

  • Provide continuity between sales, discovery, and delivery phases to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and implementation execution.

Ecosystem & Integration Leadership
  • Architect enterprise-level integrations across platforms such as ERP, OMS, PIM, CMS, and middleware technologies.

  • Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, applications, and integration strategies that align with client objectives and technical ROI.

  • Ensure seamless communication between eCommerce platforms and back-office systems.

Technical Governance & Delivery Support
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor during implementation phases to resolve complex architectural or integration challenges.

  • Partner with project stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to maintain alignment with the approved technical vision.

  • Identify technical risks, scalability concerns, and architectural tradeoffs early in the project lifecycle.

Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Contribute to internal best practices, architectural frameworks, CI/CD improvements, and technical playbooks.

  • Mentor junior architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams on enterprise architecture standards and solution design methodologies.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and implementation processes.

QualificationsRequired Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, systems engineering, enterprise integrations, or digital transformation.

  • 5+ years of Shopify architecture/development experience.

  • 7+ years of leadership experience.

  • Proven success delivering complex enterprise eCommerce or digital platform implementations.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems architecture and multi-system integrations.

Technical Expertise

  • Knowledge of OMS, PIM, middleware, and integration technologies including tools such as MuleSoft or Workato.

  • Experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade technical ecosystems and integration frameworks.

  • Familiarity with headless commerce architectures, APIs, middleware orchestration, and modern deployment practices.

Business & Leadership Skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience advising executive-level clients on technical strategy, scalability, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Strong documentation skills, including technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and data-flow mapping.

  • Proven ability to navigate competing business priorities while maintaining long-term architectural integrity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting high-growth or enterprise retail/eCommerce organizations.

  • Exposure to international commerce, multi-region deployments, or global systems integrations.

  • Experience contributing to architectural governance or enterprise transformation initiatives.

Benefits & Perks
