Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative psychiatric outpatient practice in Salina, Kansas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity of clients' eating disorder symptoms as well as any co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, employing therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Facilitate engaging therapy sessions aimed at addressing clients' distorted perceptions of body image and food, while fostering self-worth.
  • Assist clients in developing effective coping strategies, enhancing emotional regulation, and combating disordered eating patterns through structured interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and nutritionists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Provide psychoeducational resources to clients and their families to cultivate a better understanding of eating disorders and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment progress in compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case discussions to share insights and refine therapeutic approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers around a diverse patient population that primarily includes individuals coping with various eating disorders. Clients may also present with mood disorders, anxiety, and other psychological challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your goal will be to help these individuals rebuild their self-image, establish healthier relationships with food, and ultimately, support their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically tailored for eating disorders.
  • A strong grasp of the complexities surrounding eating disorders and related mental health conditions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to build trusting relationships with diverse client populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting focusing on mental health counseling, particularly in eating disorder treatment.
  • Experience in telehealth service delivery and virtual engagement with clients.
  • Professional development achievements such as additional certifications in relevant therapeutic techniques will be considered an asset.
