Position Overview

Wise Mind Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will operate in a fully remote capacity while contributing to our outpatient services in San Francisco, California. This full-time position combines the flexibility of remote work with the vital mission of supporting clients in overcoming a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clientsโ€™ mental health to accurately determine their needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing and personal growth.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and cultural competence to provide inclusive care.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that tools and resources are effectively provided to assist client recovery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and health care providers, to create comprehensive care strategies.
  • Document client interactions and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and secure health information.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your interactions will primarily be with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will encounter diverse populations, necessitating a commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention techniques with a solid ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated capacity to foster strong therapeutic alliances and rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Skilled in working with EHR systems and adopting technology effectively in clinical practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering therapy to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach programs or workshops focused on mental health education.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct group therapy sessions, enhancing group dynamics and providing peer support.
Compensation and Benefits
