Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through initial consultations with clients to evaluate their mental health status and needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect clinical findings and align with clients' goals, integrating evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities to support clients struggling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes, providing ongoing support and feedback to clients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to deliver comprehensive care and manage referrals as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients include a diverse demographic, from adolescents to adults grappling with various mental health disorders. You will encounter clients with conditions including but not limited to substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. Understanding and respecting cultural backgrounds and individual differences is paramount as we tailor our approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• A solid understanding of psychotherapeutic modalities, mental health disorders, and evidence-based treatment approaches, coupled with cultural competence in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital communication tools.
