Work Environment

This position allows you to work remotely from your home while engaging directly with clients via telehealth services. Our remote community health clinic employs a supportive, team-oriented approach where you will have access to resources and regular training. Despite the remote setting, you will be part of a vibrant and collaborative team dedicated to professional growth and the sharing of best practices in mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clientsโ€™ mental health status, specifically focusing on symptoms related to eating disorders and any co-occurring conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and rooted in the latest therapeutic methodologies.
  • Utilize a variety of therapies including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate impactful therapy sessions.
  • Engage with clients in therapy sessions, addressing key concerns such as their perceptions of body image, self-worth, and unhealthy eating patterns.
  • Support clients in creating sustainable coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and healthy behaviors to combat disordered eating.
  • Collaborate closely with the treatment team to ensure client care is comprehensive, cohesive, and tailored to individual needs.
  • Educate clients and their families about the nature of eating disorders, including the psychological and physical aspects of recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client progress and treatment interventions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by participating in team meetings, case studies, and other collaborative training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients experiencing eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorders. Our clientele often struggles with deeply rooted issues around food, body image, and self-esteem, requiring a nuanced and empathetic approach to therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
  • Demonstrable expertise in therapeutic methods suitable for treating eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.
  • A strong understanding of the multifaceted complexities associated with eating disorders and the co-occurring mental health challenges that often accompany them.
  • Exceptional communication skills to easily build rapport and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with diverse client populations.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience providing clinical mental health services, particularly in treating eating disorders.
  • Experience working within a remote or telehealth environment is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, dependent on experience and specialization.
  • Comprehensive healthcare offerings including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching to help you prepare for the future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) as well as designated holidays to ensure work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind in your practice.
  • Opportunities for continued education and career development support to further enhance your clinical expertise.

As a member of our dynamic team, you will benefit from ongoing professional development and mentorship. We prioritize your career trajectory and offer avenues to expand your clinical skills, participate in research initiatives, and engage in leadership roles as you advance within the organization.
