Sun West Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. This role primarily focuses on providing high-quality telehealth services to clients struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients during initial consultations, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews to determine their mental health status.
  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions specific to each client's needs.
  • Schedule and conduct regular therapy sessions, either one-on-one or in group formats, to provide ongoing support and guidance as clients work towards their goals.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring positive outcomes and addressing any emerging challenges promptly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care and referrals as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidates will possess a robust understanding of diverse mental health disorders and a passion for helping individuals from various backgrounds. You will work closely with clients experiencing a range of challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral issues. A culturally competent approach to therapy is essential, allowing you to connect with clients and create a safe space for healing.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a deep understanding of various mental health disorders.
  • Strong proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches and crisis intervention skills.
  • Effective communication skills, paired with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering both individual and group therapy using inclusive approaches that respect cultural diversity.
  • Previous telehealth experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • A background in collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
