What You'll Do

The Learning Experience Designer creates engaging, effective learning experiences for Jackrabbit Academy, Jackrabbit's client education platform. This role is responsible for designing and developing training content that helps clients successfully learn, adopt, and apply Jackrabbit features and workflows.


You will create client-facing learning experiences, including online courses, tutorials, videos, assessments, and guided walkthroughs. This role partners closely with Product, Support, Implementation, Client Success, and other teams to identify learning opportunities, understand product functionality, and ensure education content aligns with client needs and business priorities.


Success in this role requires strong instructional design skills, clear written communication, curiosity about how software works, and a passion for helping clients learn and succeed. This person thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and independently drives projects from idea to execution.


Key Responsibilities

Learning Experience Design & Content Development

  • Design and develop client-facing courses and learning experiences for Jackrabbit Academy.
  • Create instructional content, including interactive courses, tutorials, assessments, videos, and guided walkthroughs.
  • Translate complex product functionality into clear, engaging, and user-friendly learning experiences.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning best practices to improve learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Ensure learning content aligns with client goals, business workflows, and product functionality.

Product Learning & Content Accuracy

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Jackrabbit functionality, workflows, and client use cases.
  • Test new features and workflows within Jackrabbit environments to validate training accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Review product enhancements, documentation, and application changes to keep learning content current.
  • Partner with Product teams to understand upcoming enhancements and evolving functionality.
  • Ensure education content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with the client experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Product, Support, Implementation, Client Success, and Education teams to identify learning opportunities and content gaps.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and learners to improve learning experiences and content effectiveness.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements of learning paths, course structure, and client education programs.
  • Maintain consistency in instructional tone, voice, formatting, and learning standards across Academy content.
  • Support the growth and evolution of Jackrabbit Academy as a scalable client education platform.


What you're about.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Learning Technologies, Business, or related field; or commiserate combined education and applicable experience.
  • 3+ years of experience creating online learning content, client education programs, instructional materials, or related learning experiences.
  • Advanced written communication and instructional design skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating learning content for software, technology, or digital products.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (Charlotte-based) or 25% (non-Charlotte-based).
  • Must have reliable high-speed internet access.
  • US Citizens or Green Card holders with no special circumstances living in the US.

Preferred:

  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating screen recordings, tutorial videos, or multimedia learning content using tools such as Camtasia.
  • Experience working within SaaS, software, or technology environments.
  • Experience designing client-facing training, onboarding, or adoption-focused learning experiences.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online learning best practices.
