We're looking for an experienced Instructional Designer who is passionate about transforming complex ideas into engaging, practical learning experiences that help our educators and leaders do their best work every day.
In this role, you'll partner with subject matter experts and members of our Professional Learning team to create high-quality learning solutions that support teachers, family advocates, coaches, and program leaders across our network. From instructor-led training and eLearning to facilitator guides and interactive resources, you'll help shape how learning happens throughout our organization.

What You'll Do
Design Exceptional Learning Experiences
  • Design engaging instructor-led and digital learning experiences for teachers, family advocates, coaches, and program leadership.
  • Develop learner-centered training solutions that improve performance and support adult learning.
  • Translate complex concepts into practical, engaging, and accessible learning experiences.
  • Create measurable learning objectives, assessments, and strategies that promote knowledge transfer and sustained application.
Create High-Quality Learning Content
  • Develop professional learning materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, job aids, handouts, and eLearning modules.
  • Build interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
  • Review and revise existing learning content to improve effectiveness, usability, and learner engagement.
  • Ensure all materials align with organizational quality standards and instructional design best practices.
Partner Across the Organization
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and define instructional goals.
  • Provide instructional design guidance throughout the content development process.
  • Offer feedback and coaching on learning materials developed by colleagues, contractors, and business partners.
  • Support visual design, learning strategy, and overall professionalism across learning solutions.
Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of learning materials.
  • Monitor learner feedback and performance trends to continuously improve learning experiences.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while tracking milestones and meeting deadlines.
  • Support learning technologies including Learning Management Systems (LMS), video editing, and other digital learning tools as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning activities, and organizational initiatives.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Education, or a related field with coursework or certification in Instructional Design.
  • Five (5) years of instructional design experience developing both instructor-led and eLearning solutions.
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline (required); Adobe Captivate experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple learning projects from concept through implementation.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings, trainings, and organizational events.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
