Location & Work Model:

This role is remote for candidates outside of Texas. For those located in the Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio areas, a hybrid work schedule is required.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a Mortgage Document Preparation Specialist to join a highly skilled team. In this role, you'll be at the center of document operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across a wide range of loan types. From VA and FHA to Conventional and Texas-specific loans, you'll be the go-to expert for all things documentation. Experience working with Power of Attorney, LLCs, and Trusts is key to success in this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Review, prepare, and audit mortgage loan closing documents with precision, ensuring compliance with Texas mortgage laws
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients and internal teams, providing guidance on loan documents and closing instructions
  • Navigate a variety of loan types including VA, FHA, Conventional, Manufactured Housing, and more
  • Work through complex ownership structures including Power of Attorney, LLCs, and Trusts
  • Stay current on industry regulations and compliance standards to maintain best-in-class document quality

What You Bring:

  • A sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy
  • Prior experience as a Mortgage Closer with hand on loan document preparation experience
  • Experience in mortgage document preparation, ideally within a mortgage law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of Texas mortgage laws and closing requirements
  • Hands-on experience with Power of Attorney, LLCs, and Trusts (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with multiple Loan Origination Systems
  • Experience reviewing title commitments and surveys
  • Solid understanding of TRID regulations
  • Construction loan experience is a plus
