Job description

We are seeking a Program Manager, Strategy & Operations to join the Office of the President. In this role, you will serve as the quarterback for our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), driving the disciplined execution and operational excellence required to meet Aledade’s strategic priorities.

As a strategic operator and internal consultant, you will partner with leaders across the organization to turn high-level vision into actionable outcomes. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between strategy and execution—fostering cross-functional collaboration, proactively addressing roadblocks, and ensuring our teams remain aligned with our most ambitious goals.

This is a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to senior leadership while developing your operational toolkit. By ensuring our business objectives are translated into successful results, you will contribute directly to Aledade’s mission of empowering independent primary care.

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or be based from Bethesda, MD office.

Primary Duties:

Performance Management:
  • Drive Accountability: Own the end-to-end performance management of AOP Objectives and Key Results, ensuring owners are empowered and accountable for delivering on their targets.
  • Maintain Operational Tempo: Act as the heartbeat of the AOP, ensuring consistent progress through proactive follow-ups, closing feedback loops, and keeping cross-functional workstreams on schedule.
  • Surface & Mitigate Risk: Early-identify systemic risks or operational blockers to OKR success; partner with teams to develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues to leadership to ensure a path forward.
Strategic & Annual Planning:
  • Lead Planning Cycles: Facilitate the departmental annual planning process and mid-year (2H) adjustments, ensuring departmental goals remain ambitious yet realistic.
  • Continue to Build the Playbook: Continuously refine and document the AOP Playbook at Aledade, codifying best practices to make each planning cycle more efficient and predictable than the last.
  • QBR Preparation: Partner with department Ops Leads to prepare high-quality materials and narratives for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), ensuring a data-driven story of progress and challenges.
Cross-Functional Orchestration & Alignment:
  • Stakeholder Management: Build deep, trust-based relationships across the organization to facilitate honest discussions regarding progress, resource gaps, and cross-departmental dependencies.
  • Early Alignment Integration: Act as the "glue" between departments, ensuring that initiatives have early and consistent alignment with Analytics, Field, and Product stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the central point of contact to ensure that changes in one department’s roadmap are communicated and reconciled with the broader AOP.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years progressive experience in operations, strategy, program management or consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence without authority, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, tracking performance, and driving execution in a complex environment.
Ability to think critically, identify issues, and develop actionable strategic solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
