We’re reintroducing pecans to the modern consumer in a downright delectable way – with nostalgic flavors, premium sourcing, and a perfect crunch that keeps people coming back.

As Evie’s continues to scale nationally, we’re positioned perfectly to expand our presence within the natural grocery channel, as we will continue to own our local Texas market. We’re looking for an experienced Director of Sales to help develop and expand our natural strategy, and build a best-in-class broker and internal sales network to focus on natural retailers as well as the independent channel.

About the Role

The Director of Sales for the Natural and Independents channel will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share within the natural foods and independent retail sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building strong relationships, and understanding market dynamics. The ideal candidate will lead a team of sales brokers, develop effective sales strategies, and ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the Natural and Independents channel.
    • Identify market trends and consumer insights to inform product positioning and promotional strategies.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Identify, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing broker network focused on achieving sales goals.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with independent retailers to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Oversee sales/ account managers selling into specific accounts or channels (i.e. independents via Faire).
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate performance and identify areas for growth.
    • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the broker team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with broader company goals.
    • Provide feedback on product performance and market needs to guide product development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales experience, with a focus on the natural foods or independent retail sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and natural foods.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in the natural foods industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer preferences.
  • Proven success in sales roles focused on the Natural and Independents channel, including experience with both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce platforms.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role managing sales teams, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop talent.
  • Experience in crafting and executing sales strategies that drive significant growth and market penetration.
  • Established relationships with key retailers, distributors, and brokers within the natural foods sector.
  • Proficiency in using sales analytics and performance metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.

Compensation & Perks
  • Salary range: $125,000-$150,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus up to 25% of base salary.
