About the Role

Canadian Space Services Ltd., a division of the CSS Industrial Group of Companies, is seeking motivated, adventurous, and hands-on individuals to join our team for an exciting summer travel opportunity working on radar sites across Canada.

This construction-oriented field position involves the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of radomes, antenna systems, and related infrastructure in unique and remote locations across the country. It is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy travel, outdoor work, learning new technical skills, and being part of a hardworking team.

This role also offers the unique opportunity to travel and explore remote areas of Northern and Arctic Canada, experience helicopter travel to job sites, and see incredible landscapes, wildlife, and nature that few people get to experience. Every project brings a new location and adventure.


Responsibilities

  • Complete radome inspections, installations, hydro-blasting, painting, panel replacements, demolition, and general maintenance tasks
  • Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of radar and antenna systems
  • Work safely at heights using scaffolding, rope access systems, boom lifts, and cranes
  • Follow all company and customer safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Drive company-issued vehicles when required
  • Complete required service reports and documentation accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Support team operations in remote and outdoor environments across Canada
  • Work flexible schedules, including extended rotations and 12-hour shifts based on project needs


About You

  • 1+ year of construction, industrial labour, maintenance, or mechanical experience is considered an asset
  • Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work
  • Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Open to learning technical procedures and new skills
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs


Additional Requirements

  • Valid drivers licence with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel extensively across Canada for several weeks at a time
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts when required
  • Ability to obtain a basic Canadian Federal security clearance
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Excellent communication skills in English
