Job Summary

Aretum is seeking a Sr. MS Access Database Developer - Lead. As a Sr. MS Access Database Developer - Lead, you will maintain and enhance the client's Financial Management Tool (FMT).

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.  

Responsibilities

  • Leads development, maintenance, and optimization of the MS Access front-end and AWS/MariaDB backend
  • Manages forms, queries, reporting tables, automation, and ODBC connectivity
  • Ensures reporting accuracy, daily refresh processes, performance tuning, and error resolution
  • Oversees version control, data integrity, user support, and access/role management

Requirements

  • 8+ years of MS Access development experience
  • Bachelor's degree (4 years of additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree)
  • Expertise with MariaDB/MySQL
  • Experience in federal IT financial data systems and reporting automation
  • Strong SQL and database integration skills

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
