Introduction

We are looking for a DMO Technical Support Representative to join our Distributor Management Office (DMO) / Technical Support Team. In this role, you will provide technical support to distributors and end customers, ensuring timely resolution of product, warranty, commissioning, and service-related issues while supporting distributor performance and customer satisfaction. You will contribute to improved equipment reliability, service excellence, and strong distributor partnerships. You will report to the Head of Distribution FSE, North, Central & South America.

This role is based in Canada with hybrid or remote working options available.

Includes international and domestic travel.

Team you will belong to

You will join a team of 10 technical support professionals focused on supporting Metso distributors and customers across assigned products and services. Our team plays a key role in ensuring product performance, distributor capability development, warranty compliance, and customer success, with a shared focus on delivering world-class technical support.
We collaborate closely with distributors, customers, training teams, service personnel, product experts, and internal stakeholders across Metso. Our ways of working emphasize open communication, accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical support to Metso distributors and end customers for assigned products and services.
  • Communicate product, parts, service bulletins, and technical updates effectively while ensuring required updates are completed by distributors.
  • Monitor and support warranty registration, commissioning, delivery acceptance, and warranty processes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve technical support issues promptly while taking ownership through resolution.
  • Evaluate distributor technical support capabilities and performance against established service standards and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate and support technical training initiatives for distributor personnel in partnership with the training department.
  • Supervise distributor warranty activities, ensuring timely reporting, coordination, and claim resolution.
  • Conduct regular distributor visits to support performance improvement, strengthen relationships, and ensure service excellence.


What you'll bring

  • Technical experience supporting industrial equipment, machinery, heavy equipment, mining, aggregates, or related products.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing warranty-related processes, service activities, or technical support functions.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple issues and deliver timely responses in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Experience delivering technical training and coaching to customers or channel partners (nice to have).
  • Previous experience working within a distributor network or dealer support environment (nice to have).

The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $110,000 CAD.
