  • Using booking history, occupancy trends, customer segmentation, utilization, competitor pricing, rate structures, promotions, contract terms, and other market data to guide pricing decisions and identify risks or gaps.
  • Maintaining a pricing opportunity pipeline and prioritizing initiatives by revenue impact, ease of implementation, and strategic fit.
  • Recommending alternative pricing structures that improve win rates while protecting margin integrity.

Deal Desk and Pricing Governance

  • Managing the deal desk process, including weekly or ad hoc deal review meetings with Sales and Sales Leadership for large, complex, or strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluating deal profitability using contribution margin models, scenario analysis, customer utilization, and retention or account growth considerations.
  • Establishing and reinforcing pricing approval workflows, margin guardrails, and quoting standards that support consistent pricing decisions.

 Analytics, Reporting, and Modeling

  • Developing dashboards and executive-level reporting to track pricing performance, win/loss trends, retention, margin impact, and post-change results.
  • Using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and related tools to query, manipulate, visualize, and automate reporting, incorporating internal and external data such as seasonality, market trends, and customer-specific pricing models.
  • Supporting annual planning, quarterly forecasting, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis; summarizing pricing, performance, and market findings for leadership with clear recommendations that balance growth, profitability, and customer retention.

Cross-Functional Partnership and Contract Support

  • Collaborating with Sales, Client Services, Product, Finance, and Legal to align pricing changes, customer communications, and contract terms.
  • Reviewing and redlining pricing-related contract language to ensure alignment with margin thresholds and legal standards.
  • Providing pricing guidance, calculators, templates, and escalation support for quoting, renewals, retention efforts, and negotiations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or Computer Science required; MBA or other advanced business/analytics degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, analytics, or financial analysis, preferably in lodging, travel, or B2B services.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience using BI and data tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker; familiarity with Python or similar analytics tools is a plus, but expert-level coding is not required.
