What started with two enthusiasts in a coffee shop has evolved into a consortium of the most influential media channels in the industry, accruing over 10M monthly views; and a suite of products built for every stage of the crypto journey. We are a group of misfits and entrepreneurs who work harder than anyone else, fueled by an obsession for what we do. We are on a mission to build the most profitable community in the world.

Cryptoย Researcher

We are looking for a Crypto Researcher to sit at the heart of our daily content, owning the research that shapes what we say on air and the trade ideas we put in front of our community.ย

This is a commercially accountable role. Your work directly influences the quality, credibility and tradability of everything we publish. You will be expected to spot narratives before they break, pressure-test ideas with data, and turn raw market noise into clear, actionable insight.

Thisย isย aย remote-firstย (basedย anywhereย inย theย world) role aligned to South African Standard Time (SAST). Given the 24/7 nature of crypto markets, you will need to be comfortable researching outside traditional hours to stay ahead of developments.

Whatย you'llย do

  • Track the markets around the clock: Stay informed on global events that could impact markets, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency trends. Keep on top of macroeconomic shifts and how they may influence market movements. Because our markets never sleep, being online and researching outside standard hours is crucial to staying ahead of potential developments.
  • Research with rigour: Critically assess new trends, emerging narratives and trade ideas, employing a logical and data-driven approach. Develop a deep understanding of current market conditions, including ongoing trades, popular narratives and the key news stories that may influence trends.
  • Read market sentiment: Stay on top of the latest industry launches and evolving trends, and conduct sentiment analysis to understand overall market sentiment. Engage actively with various platforms, offering insights and commentary on their usability and potential.
  • Shape the daily shows: Identify the key question or topic of the day, what most people in the community are focused on or curious about. Working as part of the team, curate and design the daily script, documentation and narrative for each daily show, ensuring the utmost quality and professionalism. Be active and prepared for any research-centric calls.
  • Deliver actionable insight Seek out actionable, tradable information that community members can use to make informed decisions and learn from. Contribute research, trade setups and commentary directly to our Discord threads, keeping the community close to your thinking. Implement business suggestions and strategies as the role develops.

Yourย skillsย andย experience

  • Crypto fluency: A deep, hands on understanding of cryptocurrency markets, narratives and culture supported by 3+ years of experience in a crypto research focused role. You live and breathe this space.
  • Research and analysis:ย A logical, data driven approach to assessing trends, narratives and trade ideas, with the discipline to separate signal from noise.
  • Macro awareness:ย Comfortable connecting macroeconomic developments to crypto market movements and explaining why they matter.
  • Sentiment reading:ย Experience analysing sentiment across social platforms and communities to gauge where the market's attention sits.
  • Communication:ย Able to turn complex research into clear, concise scripts, documentation and narratives suited to a live audience.
  • Pace and adaptability:ย You thrive in a fast-moving, 24/7 environment and can flex your hours around the market.

Personalย Attributes

  • Genuinelyย curiousย andย pluggedย intoย theย cryptoย communityย andย widerย conversation
  • Self-startingย andย proactive,ย comfortableย owningย yourย ownย researchย agenda
  • Calmย underย pressureย andย energisedย byย aย fastย pace
  • Aย teamย playerย whoย takesย prideย inย theย qualityย ofย whatย goesย outย theย door

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
