Job description

Join Us at Centricity Research!
Centricity Research is one of the largest clinical research networks in North America. We are a fully centralized Integrated Research Organization (IRO) specializing in conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials in over 35 therapeutic areas: inpatient and outpatient; pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device trials.
Please read before applying This is a remote floater role with required travel to research sites in both the United States and Canada. The position primarily handles clinical-study data entry, query resolution and administrative support, then travels to sites when hands-on support is needed. Assignments and day-to-day managers will change based on site priorities.
About the Role
We are hiring a Research Assistant Floater to help U.S. and Canadian sites manage changing study workloads. Most days will focus on accurate data entry, query resolution and remote administrative support. When a site needs in-person help, you will travel and complete delegated tasks such as lab processing, specimen preparation and shipment, and other basic study support within your training and local requirements.
This role suits someone who works independently, adapts quickly and is comfortable moving between assignments, systems, priorities and managers. It is not a fixed-site role with one long-term daily supervisor.
Travel Expectations
Travel to U.S. and Canadian research sites is an essential function of the role.
Candidates must hold a valid passport and be able to cross the U.S.-Canada border for work-related travel, subject to company and legal requirements.
Travel is expected approximately one to two times per month, with frequency, timing and trip length varying according to site needs.
Approved business-travel expenses are covered in accordance with company policy.
What You'll Do
  • Enter and maintain accurate study data and documentation, including source documents, case report forms and CTMS records.
  • Resolve data queries and complete assigned administrative work within expected timelines.
  • Support participant scheduling, check-in/check-out coordination, recruitment logistics and enrollment documentation as assigned.
  • Prepare and maintain study files and materials for monitoring visits, audits and site operations, including the Investigator Site File.
  • When deployed to a site, perform trained and delegated tasks such as lab processing, sample collection support, specimen preparation and shipping, point-of-care testing, and investigational-product accountability.
  • Follow protocols, GCP, SOPs and applicable U.S. and Canadian requirements; escalate safety events, errors, risks and questions promptly.
  • Build effective working relationships with different site teams and managers, and transition smoothly as assignments change.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid passport and willingness and ability to travel between the United States and Canada according to the travel expectations above.
  • Demonstrated accuracy with data entry, documentation or administrative work in a regulated, healthcare, research or similarly detail-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to organize independent work, meet deadlines and communicate progress without continuous supervision.
  • Comfort working with changing assignments, priorities, site teams and managers.
  • Sound judgment: willingness to investigate and attempt a task, while asking timely questions and escalating when instructions, safety or compliance are unclear.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Health-, science- or research-related education, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical research experience, particularly as a Research Assistant or in site operations.
  • Familiarity with clinical research terminology, source documentation, CRFs, CTMS/EDC systems and data-query workflows.
  • Experience processing, preparing or shipping clinical specimens.
  • Phlebotomy training or experience. This is helpful but not required; duties will depend on training, delegation and local requirements.
