Manager, Creative Director, Capital One Software (Remote)

Core Job Responsibilities
Capital One Software is looking for an experienced, innovative, strategic creative leader who has managed and led creative teams. You will inspire and drive change while developing and executing world-class, effective creative strategies for a range of digital channels, including email, web, display, video, and social media. You know the formula for developing brand-building, breakthrough creative that drives results, is on target, and on brand. Most importantly, you bring a creative portfolio of produced work that demonstrates your success leading large, integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Lead and inspire the team to develop strategically-grounded, insight-driven creative.
  • Manage creative talent (Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Copywriters) including a mix of contractors and agencies.
  • Guide the team in the strategic adoption of AI tools to broaden creative exploration and pressure-test concepts, ensuring our creative talent remains at the forefront of the industry and equipped for the future of the craft.
  • Proactively leverage AI to enhance leadership effectiveness, create scalable tools that empower cross-functional partners, and establish new ways to influence strategy and drive alignment across the organization.
  • Collaborate with marketing strategists and internal business clients to understand consummate needs, positively influencing marketing strategy and the customer experience.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of advertising and marketing trends and translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market products effectively.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the intended audience; interprets market research and tests results, and uses findings to focus targeted marketing messages.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a network of partner groups to anticipate and proactively address obstacles
  • Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy-in and open the door for new opportunities - both for your team and department.
  • Leverage AI tools to spark new ideas and enhance the , using technology to complement and scale your artistic vision

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience leading creative teams
  • At least 5 years of multi-channel digital marketing experience on client-side or agency

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working for large, integrated marketing campaigns
  • 7+ years of experience in a Creative Director role
  • 5+ of experience directly managing a creative team
  • Experience at a large in-house creative team
  • Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Marketing
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
