• Conduct remote counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, using secure video conferencing platforms to facilitate effective communication and therapy.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop customized treatment plans with achievable, client-centered goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues faced by your clients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and emotional stability of clients during challenging times.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Educate clients on mental health conditions, coping mechanisms, and available resources that empower them to manage their mental health proactively.
• Collaborate with other professionals in interdisciplinary teams and community resources to provide holistic care that addresses both the mental and physical well-being of clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development, keeping abreast of the latest research and developments in the mental health field and incorporating new insights into your practice.

You will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals across various age groups and backgrounds, addressing a multitude of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Your ability to engage empathetically and customize therapy based on individual circumstances will be critical in fostering client success.

• A current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York state is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling is mandatory, with prior experience in a remote setting being highly advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective client interaction and collaboration with colleagues.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and e-therapy technologies is expected.
