Work Environment

This remote position allows for a flexible work schedule, empowering you to define your own hours within a standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to assess the state of patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinating care for patients by determining the appropriate level of mental health services and facilitating their access to those services.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including statistical reports required by the organization, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Leading group therapy sessions in various treatment settings, such as mental health observation units, while actively engaging participants and fostering a supportive atmosphere.
  • Collaborating with institutional programs, including the Department of Correction, to ensure patients receive necessary housing and treatment dispositions.
  • Participating in clinical supervision sessions with your Clinical Supervisor at least once a week to discuss cases and enhance your therapeutic skills.
  • Attending mental health rounds and case conferences to contribute to team discussions surrounding patient treatment planning and progress.
  • Potentially conducting psychological testing to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to social work interns or student volunteers, promoting professional development and skill acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Preferred Experience
