Job description

IT/OT Consultant & Solution Architect (AspenTech IP.21)

Location: Remote (Travel as needed)

Duration: 17-week contract

Start Date: September 1, 2026


We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Consultant & Solution Architect with strong expertise in AspenTech IP.21 to support an industrial digital transformation initiative. This is a remote contract role with occasional travel (approximately once per quarter or during FAT/Go-Live activities; travel expenses reimbursed).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT/OT integration solutions connecting plant-floor control systems with enterprise ERP and cloud platforms.
  • Configure, deploy, and optimize AspenTech IP.21 data historians and real-time databases.
  • Integrate industrial data using OPC, SCADA, and IoT protocols.
  • Design secure industrial network architectures and ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain IP.21 environments, including database health, data compression, and system optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable industrial data solutions and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership, best practice recommendations, documentation, and knowledge transfer to client teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with AspenTech IP.21 (required).
  • Strong background in IT/OT integration, industrial automation, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with OPC, SCADA, industrial networking, and real-time data historians.
