Savanta is looking for a Senior Survey Programmer with strong Alchemer (or similar), JavaScript and market research operations experience
About Us:
Savanta is a leading data, market research and advisory company helping the world's leading brands make better decisions, faster. With over 500 people across offices in multiple countries, we combine deep research expertise, proprietary technology and high-impact consulting to give our clients a complete view of their markets, their customers and their competitors.
About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Survey Programmer to join our Americas Operations team. You'll take the lead on programming complex, high-quality online questionnaires, working closely with Project Managers and Research Teams to deliver projects that meet client needs.
The successful candidate must be based in the US and would be required to work within Eastern Standard Time.
You'll manage multiple projects at once, take ownership of high-complexity builds end to end, and act as a go-to resource for programming on high-profile accounts.
Strong hands-on programming experience is essential, ideally in Alchemer (Survey Gizmo), though experience with platforms such as Confirmit or Decipher will also be considered.
What you'll be doing:
  • Program complex online questionnaires, including survey scripting, multi-language management, and reporting.
  • Take full ownership of high-complexity programming projects from end to end, with a consultative approach to client setup and builds.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and the Research Team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, upholding rigorous quality control and Savanta's 'Right First Time' standard.
  • Support, mentor, and train other programmers, sharing best practice across the team.
  • Contribute technical insight to client meetings, new business calls, and project budget management.
  • Help drive new tools and process improvements across the programming workflow.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive on high levels of autonomy and responsibility, enabling you to make a direct and meaningful impact across a variety of projects and client accounts. You'll become part of a collaborative and supportive team that places a strong emphasis on mentoring, professional development, and driving innovation.
About You:
The role is suited to someone with existing programming expertise in market research operations looking to expand their skill set and advance their career.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
  • 3+ years' experience programming in Alchemer (Survey Gizmo), Confirmit, Decipher, or a similar survey scripting platform.
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery, with advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to on-time delivery.
  • Experience training or mentoring other programmers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels globally.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an analytical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing business.

Why Join Us:
Join Savanta and you'll work with high-profile clients on varied and complex projects, while benefiting from the scale and opportunity of a growing global business that still retains the energy and feel of a smaller agency, with a clear path to develop within the programming team.
