How will you fit into the big picture?
The Associate Manager, Commercial Strategy - Salty supports the development and execution of commercial growth strategies across Hershey's salty snacks portfolio. This role leverages syndicated data, marketplace insights, retailer performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to identify growth opportunities, support category leadership initiatives, and deliver actionable recommendations that drive revenue, share, and profitability. As a key analytical partner, this role works closely with Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Revenue Management, and other commercial teams to influence business decisions and accelerate growth.
What will you do?
 
Analyze sales, market share, category, consumer, and retailer performance data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Develop actionable insights and recommendations that support annual planning, customer business reviews, and strategic growth initiatives.
Create reporting tools, scorecards, dashboards, and presentations that translate complex data into clear business actions.
Support assortment, pricing, promotion, shelving, and merchandising analyses to optimize commercial performance.
Partner with Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Revenue Management teams to develop fact-based recommendations and drive business results.
Monitor competitive activity and industry trends within the salty snacks category.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to evaluate business performance drivers and answer strategic business questions.
Measure the effectiveness of promotions, innovation launches, assortment changes, and customer initiatives.
Prepare executive-ready presentations and communicate recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in commercial strategy, category management, sales analytics, consumer insights, revenue management, or related disciplines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into actionable business recommendations.
Experience utilizing syndicated data, retailer point-of-sale data, consumer insights, and business performance metrics to influence decision-making.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
Experience with Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, retailer data sources, or similar analytics platforms preferred.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field required.
