Summary:
This position is responsible for selling prepared foods products to Costco, increasing market share and maintaining strong customer relationships within this established region. The role is accountable for managing several Costco buying regions and Business delivery and for increasing account penetration within Costco's prepared foods business.
This position requires navigating Costco's prepared foods network of buyers who are responsible for all aspects of prepared foods programs. The objective is to achieve maximum volume potential and profitability while maintaining Tyson's standard of providing high-quality products with excellent customer service. It is expected that this position will have an intense level of interaction and collaboration with customer service, the business unit, and the customer to deliver sales operations and logistics excellence.
Category responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Frozen prepared foods
  • Refrigerated prepared foods
  • Home meal replacement solutions

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Achieve sales volume and financial objectives
  • Develop and lead strategic customer relationships, including collaboration and joint sales planning
  • Maintain high engagement with customer sales planning teams, including off-site at customer locations
  • Communicate timely, concise, and effectively both internally and externally
  • Align and execute multiple business strategies
  • Plan, forecast, and deliver against high-volume annual growth targets
  • Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with the customer and Tyson
  • Provide direction and communication to Tyson field support teams
  • Execute special projects as needed
  • Manage Trade Expense (T&E) deductions, including AR resolution and reduction
  • Prepare and deliver weekly sales reports
  • Plan and manage annual promotional spending calendars
  • Track and report competitive activity
  • Conduct price and volume contract negotiations
  • Partner with production and production planning teams to optimize flow and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strong customer value propositions
  • Work with the CSR team to enhance customer service performance
  • Demonstrate Tyson's Customer Promise, core values, and RIGHT behaviors daily

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 7 plus years of experience. Costco experience highly preferred. Knowledge of prepared foods categories preferred. 2 plus years sales experience in Retail channels
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills; public speaking and presentation skills.
Supervisory: This position will have no direct reports
Travel: 12 plus domestic trips per year.
